What kind of work do you publish?
Essais publishes academic work by undergraduate Utah Valley University students. While Essais is a part of UVU’s English Department, we also publish high-quality work originally written for PHIL, HUM, ARTH, and CINE courses, among others.
Can I buy a previous issue of Essais?
Copies of Essais can be purchased from UVU’s English Department in CB 402A.
I graduated from UVU. Can I submit?
Graduates of Utah Valley University are allowed to submit their work to Essais up to one semester after graduation.
How do I submit work for publication?
Essays and artwork may be submitted to essais.submissions@gmail.com prior to the current semester deadline. Click here for more details.
Where do you get your artwork?
Essais is proud to accept artwork from Utah Valley University art students.
How do I have my name printed in the journal as a contributing staff member?
In order to have your name printed in the journal as a contributing staff member, you must attend at least three (3) editing sessions throughout the semester. Such sessions may include content editing, copyediting, source checking, and/or typesetting. Click here for more details.
